Spitfire MkVb of 317(Wilenski)Sqn
Model is from TRUMPETER at 1/24 scale, build by pierre.
Still wearing early camouflage scheme.It's the 1/24th Trumpeter kit.The kit's seat totally wrong was replaced by a Contact-Résine one.The cowl which had decidely a bad shape was replaced by the Cutting-Edge.The rivets on the upper stabilisators fixed surfaces were home made as the kit surface was of a rather strange "wavy" surface,(Idon't understand why ?) .Decals are partly from the kit and partly from the Techmod Decals range.Colors are acrilyc Gunze for the main but I used Aeromaster ones for the upper surfaces dark green,which has a better shade for me.A very pleasant kit to mount,to say the least.I'm waiting now for conversions to make a MkVIII or IX.These will come in the beginning of 2005 from Warbirds Productions....I hope...
