P-51D,343 Sq.,55 FG Wormingford(U-K)1944
Model is HASEGAWA 1/32 scale , build by Pierre CHIPOTOVSKY.
The old but faithful 1/32 Hasegawa kit.Panels and rivets were entirely rescribed, flaps cut and placed in the down position (as we often can see on parked P-51).All the control surfaces were also cut and placed in various positions.Cockpit interior comes from the Verlinden range.Natural Metal is painted with various shades and blend from the Alclad range, extremely resistant colors to say the least, supporting a lot of masking and manipulations.OD surfaces were painted with a Gunze base and different other shades. The thick red line was first painted yellow after much hesitation, but further datas obtained assured me it had to be red,so....once again... National insignas are from Cutting-Edge but I greyed them down, codes were painted as the thirty or so years old decals were nearly unusable.By chance I had in stock four samples of the red horses, needed them all .
The Aero-Detail on the subject helped a lot.
