F 105 D
Model is Trumpeter at 1/32, build by me.
Well, lets' start with the gun bay; i rebuild the gun itself, as the factory one has very poor details. In second i decided to opened the LOX panel, located just afterward the gun bay and the Air turbine Motor, located just behind the Ammunition Drum. Both two bays are scratched using evergreen plastics and materials find in the surplus box ! Details were added to the radar as i want to display it opened.
As Black Box released their resin cockpit at that time, i decided to use it. You'll have to take care with the fitting of the cockpit thub, i'll have to glue some plastic pieces to make some space on the right fuselage, so the resin piece can join the fuselage. Also, the instrument panel is way too high, check the picture with the windshield.....i didn't find a solution for that as all was painted and glue when i add the panel ! Take care too that the seat have to be positioned, the bottom of the seat has to be leveled with the side panels...so it is at the good place. I've add a piece os plastic under the seat so it could fit. Details of these resin pieces is really interesting, but i never understand to have so much fitting problem with a so expensive kit. All the bays are painted with a mixed of Chromate green, and the bird is now prepared for the paint job. Next time i'll show you how i hardened the gears...
